What makes us different?

Bridge Training and Development is not a traditional training provider – the team is intrinsically linked to our core team of field practitioners, which gives us our unique and envied differentiator. Our training team consists of hands on practitioners, field engineers and industry experts allowing us to provide high standard training programmes that are industry recognised and sustainable in the workplace. In addition to our range of standard training courses, we can design and deliver a solution to meet your specific needs.

This course provides an overview of the tools, procedures and reporting requirements specified in the AIAG’s Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan reference manual. Gain the skills to effectively implement APQP in to your workplace. Avoid confusion or misinterpretation of automotive requirements with a clear understanding of advanced product quality planning (APQP). Run step-by-step through APQP and learn about the Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors common requirements and what you need to do to achieve compliance with the AIAG guidelines for product quality planning and the preparation of control plans.

Become versed on the procedures, reporting requirements and activities specified by the PPAP manual. Instruction covers the AIAG fourth edition manual, submission and specific requirements for part approval records/sample retention, and part-submission status. A review of forms in the PPAP manual is also included. Using simulations, groups work with customer engineers to develop a customer requirement and take it from prototype to a functionally acceptable and capable part. Realism is enhanced as teams develop flow charts, process instructions and control plans for the product and carry them through to PPAP submission.

Develop a real-world, functional understanding of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. During this module you will benefit from learning about the common set of requirements that should be used to implement FMEA techniques into design and manufacturing processes. This course is designed to establish the use of FMEAs and to help you learn the skills needed to practice risk reduction and defect prevention. You will foster an understanding of the specific components of Design and Process FMEAs and relate the FMEA to the Control Plans and the APQP process.

Building a ‘zero error’ culture is every organisations goal. The AIAG Effective Error Proofing is a comprehensive guideline on how to build that culture into any organization by moving away from detection oriented quality practices and toward a culture of zero error. The purpose of this course is to provide the participant with an overview of the Poka Yoke System for developing a zero defects strategy. It will provide an introduction to the system and its toolbox to assist you in the development and implementation of a zero defects based culture. Included in the course is a series of defined activities and applications for its use as a process.

Quality of product is of paramount importance to customer satisfaction and market competitiveness. Effective Problem Solving directly impacts product quality and company profitability. Preventing recurring problems and implementing corrective actions quickly and effectively is one of the main concerns in manufacturing today. This course is based on the AIAG CQI-20: Effective Problem Solving – Practitioner Guide and provides guidance in solving more complex problems where the use of a cross-functional team is needed. The course will give you the tools necessary to review and address the existing culture, behaviors, and competency present within your organization today with regards to problem solving and drive change within your organization.
